Hey, Hi, Hello! My name is Libbie, and I am a mother, a wife, an engineer, AND a photographer! I began this journey as a photographer starting as a hobbyist back in 2018 when I got my first Canon Rebel T6i camera. I was inspired by one of my closest friends after lending a helping hand during a prom photo shoot and ever since then I’ve been hooked!
I grew up on the Gulf Coast in Mississippi, then graduated as an electrical engineer from the Missouri University of Science and Technology in 2020, during the peak of Covid lockdowns, then moved to Tennessee following graduation. That experience and not being able to walk the stage for my own graduation really struck me and made me realize photographing seniors was one of my deepest passions. I strive to be able to accurately capture their most precious memories and celebrate in their successes. This gives me a unique perspective and connection to those graduating and allows me to focus on capturing them at their best.
I am also a wife to my wonderful husband since March of 2022, and a mother to the sweetest baby boy since 2023. I had an extremely traumatic birth due to developing preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome, requiring him to be born 7 weeks early and have a NICU stay. This experience has led me to take a deep interest into beginning to capture families and those most precious moments in our life. Things can change on a dime and I want to ensure everyone has the ability to have memories to look back on forever.
Some fun facts about me:
– I LOVE coffee, specialty coffee, lattes, you name it I’m bound to love it and can’t live without the stuff
– As you will quickly see when you meet me by the tattoos on my arm, I am a die hard Marvel and Star Wars fan
– My favorite pastime outside of photography is reading, however, I either read the book too fast or start it and put it down for months
– I had purple hair for 4 years, including on my wedding day (it will make its return one day)
